A work-party is a group of about four households that gets together to do each other's chores and home projects.

It's fun, and very productive: shampooing carpets, washing windows, pruning trees, gardening, deep cleaning the house, doing laundry, and anything else you want to get done.

To build work-parties, every month Humboldt Worker Bees hosts free a whole-food potluck and planning meeting for new members at Arising Wellness Center in Arcata. We facilitate the process of meeting people, finding compatibility, and setting your schedules for your work-parties. We call them swarms!

So far, we've connected twelve households into three swarms, and it has been a blast. No need to be shy about your dirty house – that's why we do what we do. The feeling of crossing things off your list of procrastination is great, and the sense of community is fulfilling.

CHILDCARE IS NOW FREE at every meeting, thanks to a grant from Humboldt Area Foundation. YOU MUST RESERVE A SPOT if you want childcare, so we know how many kids we have coming.

Please bring a whole-food potluck offering – that's homemade, no packaging, no sugar, no processed flour or artificial ingredients – just food.
